Timo Rautiainen & Niskalaukaus "Lumessakahlaajat"

This vid is dedicated to the Finnish peace keeping forces (KFOR) and the people in the (former) Jugoslavian area. It is however belived that this is a sad song about snow when the Russians attacked Finland.

"Lumessakahlaajat - Paddles in the snow"

That fleet of bombers
over that sleeping land
drove our silent, gray procession
to paddle in the snow
first everybody saw
their world to burn
every man had to burn their
own home

every time the firing stops
again continues the travel (of)
group miserable, witch has no time to look back
when into endless snow
little brother was buried
from the blood red sky reflected
that laughing executioner

batallion of death walk after us
in front of us the landscape is like a sheet (meaning as white as the snow)
we have to move our camp again
either over the border or to heaven

ATB "Ecstasy (Remix)"

Have you ever noticed,
That I’m not acting as I used to do before?
Have you ever wondered,
Why I always keep on coming back for more?

What have you done to me,
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

You really are my ecstasy,
My real life fantasy (oh yeah)
You really are my ecstasy
My real life fantasy (oh yeah)

Not that I’m complaining,
A more beautiful vision - I have never seen
If you don’t mind me saying,
A lifelong ambition to fulfill my dream

What have you done to me,
I’ll never be the same I'll tell you for sure

You really are my ecstasy,
My real life fantasy (oh yeah
You really are my ecstasy,
My real life fantasy (oh yeah)

You really are my ecstasy
(There can be no other While we still have each other)
My real life fantasy
(There can be no other while we still have each other)

You really are my ecstasy,
(I'll never be the same, I'll tell you for sure)
(There can be no other while we still have each other)
My real life fantasy, oh yeah
(I'll never be the same, I'll tell you for sure)

Whitesnake "Is This Love"

Whitesnake "Fool For Your Loving"

Whitesnake "Give Me All Your Love"

When I first saw you baby
You took my breath away,
I knew your name was Trouble
But, my heart got in the way
I couldn't stop myself from reaching out,
I could not turn away

I don't even know your name
An' I can't leave you alone,
I'm running round in circles
Like a dog without a bone
I know the game you're playing
But, baby I just can't let go

So give me all your love tonight,
Give me all your love tonight
I'll do anything you want
Just give me all of your loving tonight

I'll work hard everyday
To love and treat you right.
I'll rock you in the morning
And roll you in the night.
Any way you want
I'm gonna prove my love for you.

So give me all your love tonight,
Give me all your love tonight
I'll do anything you want,
Just give me all of your loving tonight, tonight, tonight...

I am blinded by your smile
And I'm crazy about your walk
I shiver and I shake
When I hear you baby talk
I'm a fool for your loving babe,
Give me all your loving tonight...

So give me all your love tonight,
Give me all your love tonight
I'll do anything you want,
Just give me all of your loving tonight

Anything you want from me...

So give me all your love tonight,
Give me all your love tonight
I'll do anything you want,
Just give me all of your loving tonight, tonight, tonight...

The Cardigans "For What It's Worth"

Hey baby come round
keep holding me down
and I'll be keeping you up tonight.
The four letter word got stuck in my head
the dirtiest word that I've ever said
it's making me feel alright.
For what it's worth I love you
and what is worse I really do
oh what is worse I'm gonna run run run
'till the sweetness gets to you
and what is worse I love you!

Hey please baby come back
there'll be no more loving attack
and I'll be keeping it cool tonight.
The four letter word is out of my head
come on around get back in my bed
keep making me feel alright.
For what it's worth I like you
and what is worse I really do
things have been worse
and we had fun fun fun
'til I said I love you
and what is worse I really do!

For what it's worth I love you
and what is worse I really do

The Cardigans "And Then You Kissed Me"

man, i've had a few
but they wouldn't quite blow me like you
you gave me your name and signed
with a halo around my eye

and it hit me like never before
that love is a powerful force
yes, it struck me that love is a sport
so i pushed you a little bit more

love, you're news to me
you're a little bit more than i thought you'd be
a mole in my well-fed lawn
you're a nightmare beating the dawn

oh, it hit me like never before
that love is a powerful force
yes, it struck me that love is sport
so i pushed you a little bit more

Blue, blue, black and blue
red blood sticks like glue
true love is cruel love
red blood's a power-fuel
sweet love, tasty blood
my heart overfloods

oh you hit me!
yeah, you hit me really hard
man, you hit me!
yeah you hit me right in the heart

lord, i've had my deal
but i never quite knew how it feels
when love makes you wake up sore
with fists that are ready for more

and it hit me that love is a game
like in war no one can be blamed
yes, it struck me that love is a sport
so i pushed you a little bit more

oh, blue, blue, black and blue
red blood sticks like glue
true love is cruel love
red blood's a power fuel
sweet love tasted blood
my heart overfloods

man, you hit me!
yeah you hit me really hard
baby, you hit me!
yeah you punched me right in the heart
and then you kissed me...

and then you hit me...

oh, you haunt me with your violent heartbeat at night
oh, you strike me with your silence baby, tonight
why you haunt me with your violence baby, come hit me!
you haunt me with your violent heartbeat...

The Cardigans "You're the Storm"

oh it's healing - bang bang bang
i can hear your cannons call
you've been aiming at my land
your hungry hammer is falling

and if you want me I'm your country

I'm an angel bored like hell
and you're a devil meaning well
you steal my lines and you strike me dumb
come raise your flag upon me

and if you want me I'm your country
if you win me I'm forever - oh yeah!

'cause you're the storm that I've been needing
and all this peace has been deceiving
I like the sweet life and the silence
but it's the storm that I believe in

come and conquer and drop your bombs
cross my borders and kill the calm
bear your fangs and burn my wings
I hear bullets singing

and if you want me I'm your country
if you win me I'm forever - oh yeah!

'cause you're the storm that I've been needing
and all this peace has been deceiving
I need some wind to get me sailing
so it's the storm that I believe in

you fill my heart, you keep me breathing
'cause you're the storm that I believe in

and if you want me I'm your country

Aventura "Obsesion"

Obsesión" is a 2003 single by Dominican-American bachata band Aventura, released in 2003 by Premium Latin Music. It was released first as a single in late 2003, and then included on the 2004 album We Broke the Rules. It achieved a huge success in many countries, reaching often the top of the charts. The text was written by Anthony Santos, while the refrain is performed by the female vocalist Judy Santos (both have no relationship). In 2003, the song was covered by 3rd Wish featuring Baby Bash, but this version was less successful than the original version (#7 In Switerland, #2 in Austria, #12 in France). [Wikipedia]

Santana "Samba Pa Ti"

Santana "Oye Como Va"

"Oye Como Va" is a song written and composed by Latin jazz and mambo musician Tito Puente in 1963 and popularized by Santana's cover of the song in 1970 on their album Abraxas, helping to catapult Santana into stardom with the song reaching #13 on the Billboard Top 100. The song has the classic rhythm and tempo of cha-cha-cha. It has similarities with "Chanchullo" by Israel "Cachao" López. The Latin Beat Magazine writes, "Cachao's tumbaos for his 1937 composition of Resa Del Neleton (later changed to Chanchullo) inspired Tito Puente's signature tune 'Oye Como Va'." On the original recording of the song the voice of Santitos Colon, the Puente orchestra singer at the time, can be heard in the song along with those of Puente and other orchestra musicians. The song has numerous arrangements and remakes by numerous artists in various tempi. NPR included the song in its "NPR 100: The most important American musical works of the 20th century". Santana's arrangement is a "driving, cranked-up version" in a new style of Latin rock (attributed to musicians like Santana), adding electric guitar, Hammond B-3 organ, and a rock drum kit to the instrumentation and dropping Puente's brass section. The electric guitar part takes on Puente's flute melody, and the organ provides accompaniment (with organist Gregg Rolie's discretional use of the Leslie effect). There are several guitar solos and an organ solo, all of which are rooted in rock and the blues but also contain licks similar to those of the original arrangement. [Wikipedia]

Kaoma "Lambada"

Lambada" (also released as "Chorando Se Foi (Lambada)") is a 1989 song recorded by the French pop group Kaoma with the Brazilian vocalist Loalwa Braz. The video features the Brazilian children duet Chico and Roberta. The lyrics of "Lambada", which is also the name of a Brazilian music style, was an unauthorized translation of the song "Llorando se fue", an acoustic song recorded by the Bolivian group Los K’jarkas. The unauthorized use later resulted in a successful lawsuit from Los K’jarkas. The single became a worldwide summer hit, selling over 5 million copies in 1989 and starting the Lambada dance craze. It reached #1 on seven different charts, as well as #46 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and reaching #4 on the UK Singles Chart. It was the 37th best-selling single in the UK during 1989. [Wikipedia]

Black Eyed Peas feat Sergio Mendes "Mas Que Nada"

"Mas Que Nada" is a song originally written and performed by Jorge Ben in 1963, which in a later cover version became the signature song of Sérgio Mendes. In the United States, it is one of a few Brazilian songs that is widely known. It is worth noting that in the United States, the song is popularly credited to Mendes with Jorge relatively unknown, whereas in Brazil, the reverse is true. In Brazilian Portuguese slang, mas que nada (literally, "but, that [is] nothing") means "come on" or "no way". In 2006, Mendes re-recorded the song with The Black Eyed Peas and additional vocals by Gracinha Leporace (Mendes' wife); a version that is included on his album Timeless. In Brazil, the song is well-known for being the theme song for the local television channel Globo's Estrelas. The Black Eyed Peas' version also contains a sample of their 2004 hit "Hey Mama". The re-recorded song became popular on many European charts. On the UK Singles Chart, the song entered at #29 and rose to and peaked at #6 on its second week on the chart. [Wikipedia]

His music can best be described as a Eurodance/hip-hop reggae with a dancehall style. Alban Uzoma Nwapa was born into a middle class family of 10 children in Oguta, Imo state, Nigeria and had his secondary education at Christ The King College, Aba, Nigeria. He spent most of his youth in his hometown Oguta. His father was a dentist. He grew up listening to Fela Kuti and James Brown. At age 23, he travelled to Sweden to study dentistry. Very quickly his name became widely known, especially since Alban often sang to the records he put on the turntable. DJ René couldn't help but notice him and so he was discovered. Alban finished his studies and even opened his own dentistry practice, keeping his disk jockeying as a lucrative sideline. In 1990, he met with Denniz PoP from the SweMix label. Together with Denniz and Rap-Queen Leila K, his first record, "Hello Africa" - his declaration of love for his African home - broke all records. Alban Xhezair Nwapa took the stage name Dr. Alban, a nod to his dental studies. His debut album Hello Africa sold roughly 1 million copies world-wide.One year later this success was surpassed by the second album One Love. 1.6 million singles of the song "It's My Life" were sold (the single was even used as background music for a Tampax advert). After a re-release of "No Coke", Dr. Alban confirmed his Euro dance style with his hit "Look Who's Talking", which reached #4 in Israel, #6 at MTV Europe, and #54 in UK. This pop-rock song, recorded by the Wild Strawberries, the band consisting of Harrison and his wife Roberta Carter, first appeared on volume 3 of the compilation album series Women & Songs, then on the Wild Strawberries album Twist (2000). German dance DJ and producer ATB remixed the song and released it twice as a single, it being ATB's 6th and 15th single releases. The first version of the song was released on CD 1 (The World of Movement) of ATB's second album Two Worlds, which was released in 2000. The song bore a similar sound to prior singles "The Fields of Love" and "The Summer" from the same album. A year later ATB remixed the song again for a single release. By doing this he stepped away from his traditional sound and created a harder dance track, leaving out pitch-bends and guitar sounds. Apart from these changes, a second verse was also added to the song and a new main-hook was created. The single became one of ATB's biggest hits in his home country Germany, while peaking at number 34 in the United Kingdom. In 1963, Barbra Streisand recorded the song for her debut solo album The Barbra Streisand Album, which later appeared on the compilation The Essential Barbra Streisand. It is the band's 10th studio album and the last for Casablanca Records, the only label the group had ever recorded for up to that point. The album was also dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early Kiss supporter Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions.

The album represented a conscious effort on Kiss's part to return to the style of hard rock/heavy metal that had helped them achieve commercial success in the 1970s. That success had been in decline since 1979's album Dynasty and 1980's Unmasked. Kiss knew it needed to deliver on their earlier promise of a heavy record if they were to continue as a band. The first key ingredient was songwriter/guitarist Vincent Cusano, with whom the band had recently begun writing and recording, and was soon to replace Frehley as the band's new lead guitarist. Frehley didn't perform on this album and this was Vinnie Vincent's first album with the band. On the tour, Vincent was introduced with Ankh warrior makeup.

Some early pressings of the album mistakenly contained one full side of John Cougar's American Fool. Both Kiss and Cougar were under the umbrella of Mercury Records at the time. Today, those mistake albums are highly sought after by Kiss collectors.

Creatures of the Night was certified Gold on May 9, 1994.

It's got a real good tempo. It's really fun and it's different. I think most of the stuff that we have is different." Rolling Stone praised the song, saying that it "slows down the tempo to bludgeon with a steady, pounding groove instead of all-out thrash in a manner reminiscent of the band's more slow-burning but still malicious second album, Iowa." They went on to explain, "That track is capped off with a time-signature shattering guitar/drum breakdown that will leave the best air-instrumentalists stumped." [Wikipedia]

The song itself was very different from anything the band had done before, and some members felt that it didn’t sound like Toto. [Wikipedia]

Pink Floyd "Careful With That Axe Eugene"

Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here"

Pink Floyd are an English rock band who initially earned recognition for their psychedelic and space rock music, and later, as they evolved, for their progressive rock music. Pink Floyd are known for philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, innovative album cover art, and elaborate live shows. One of rock music's most successful acts, the group have sold over 210 million albums worldwide[1][2][3] including 74.5 million albums in the United States.[4] Pink Floyd influenced progressive rock artists of the 1970s such as Genesis and Yes,[5] as well as contemporary artists such as Nine Inch Nails [6], and Dream Theater.[7] Pink Floyd were formed in London in 1965 when Syd Barrett moved down from Cambridge and joined The Tea Set, a group consisting of Regent Street Polytechnic architecture students Nick Mason, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Bob Klose.[8] The group had moderate mainstream success and were one of the most popular bands in the London underground music scene in the late 1960s as a psychedelic band led by Syd Barrett. However, Barrett's erratic behaviour eventually led his colleagues to replace him with guitarist and singer David Gilmour. After Barrett's departure, singer and bass player Roger Waters gradually became the dominant force in the group by the late-1970s, until his departure from the group in 1985. The band had always been popular in England, though they did not achieve true worldwide success until the concept albums The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), and Animals (1977), and the rock opera The Wall (1979).

In 1985, Waters declared Pink Floyd "a spent force", but the remaining members, led by Gilmour, continued recording and touring under the name Pink Floyd. Waters sued them for the name and eventually they reached a settlement out of court, under which Gilmour, Mason and Wright would continue as Pink Floyd. They again enjoyed worldwide success with A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) and The Division Bell (1994). Waters performed with the band for the first time in 24 years on 2 July 2005 at the London Live 8 concert.

Dire Straits "Walk of Life"

Dire Straits were a British rock band, formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler (vocals and lead guitar), his younger brother David Knopfler (rhythm guitar and vocals), John Illsley (bass guitar and vocals), and Pick Withers (drums and percussion), and managed by Ed Bicknell. Although the band was formed in an era when punk rock was at the forefront, Dire Straits played a more conventional style, albeit with a stripped-down sound that appealed to audiences also weary of the overproduced stadium rock of the 1970s. In their early days, Mark and David requested that pub owners turn down their sound so that patrons could converse while the band played, an indication of their unassuming demeanor. Despite this oddly self-effacing approach to rock and roll, Dire Straits soon became hugely successful, with their first album going multi-platinum globally.

Throughout Dire Straits' career Mark Knopfler was the songwriter and also the driving force behind the group. The band's best-known songs include "Sultans of Swing", "Romeo and Juliet", "Tunnel of Love", "Telegraph Road", "Private Investigations", "Money for Nothing", "Walk of Life", "So Far Away", "Brothers in Arms" and "Calling Elvis".

Toto "Angel Don't Cry"

Toto "Rosanna"

Toto was an American rock band founded in 1977[1] by some of the most popular and experienced session musicians of the era. The band enjoyed great commercial success in the 1980s, beginning with the band's self-titled debut, released in 1978, which immediately brought the band into the mainstream rock spectrum of the time. Continuing with 1982's critically acclaimed and commercially successful Toto IV, Toto became one of the biggest selling music groups of their era. They also composed the theme music for the film Dune. Although their popularity in the United States diminished in the 1990s and 2000s, they continued to tour and sold out arenas, clubs, and theaters internationally. Toto was known for their technical prowess in the studio, as well as a musical style that combines elements of pop, rock, soul, funk, progressive rock, hard rock, R&B, and jazz, and although they were regularly associated with the soft rock genre, and particularly the neo-progressive rock genre, this broad array of musical styles helped them appeal to a variety of musicians and non-musician listeners. The band released 17 albums and have sold over 30 million records to date.[1] Their 18th release Falling In Between Live, was released in August 2007. It had been recorded in March 2007 in Paris. As a result of guitarist Steve Lukather's departure from the band, Toto broke up after the last leg of their 2008 tour.

Annie Lennox "Into the West [Lord of the Rings]"

"Into the West" is a song written by Fran Walsh, Howard Shore and Annie Lennox, and performed by Lennox herself during the closing credits of the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

The song was conceived as a bittersweet Elvish lament sung by Galadriel for those who have sailed across the Sundering Sea. Several phrases from the song are taken from the last chapter of Return of the King. In the commentaries and documentaries accompanying the extended DVD edition of the movie, director Peter Jackson explains that the song was partially inspired by the premature death from cancer of young New Zealand filmmaker Cameron Duncan, whose work had impressed Jackson and his team. The first public performance of the song was at Duncan's funeral.[citation needed]

The song won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 76th Academy Awards, one of the movie's 11 Academy Awards. Lennox performed the song at the Academy Awards ceremony. [Wikipedia]
